Colin Rafferty –

Your Memphis Grizzlies hit the floor tonight against the divisional rival San Antonio Spurs.

The Grizz will look to continue their 3-game road winning streak, before heading back to Memphis for a game on Friday against the Clippers.

They have won 5 out of their last 6, with Zach Edey looking like a Monstar from Space Jam.

The two teams faced each other not too long ago, a 111-101 win for the Spurs on Novmeber 19. Led by De’Aaron Fox, the Spurs were able to get the victory without Wembanyama, who has been sidelined since November 14.

Spurs beat reporter Jeff McDonald thinks he will return sometime in between the NBA Cup week and Christmas.

Good, keep him sidelined every time the Grizz face them.

The Spurs will be coming off a 4-game road trip that ended on Sunday with a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves 125-112; on a game where they shot 8-33 from three-point land.

Your Grizzlies are ending a 4-game road trip tonight; they have won the first three games; all by having to claw back and give a great effort in the 4th quarter.

Despite being down at half by 17 against the Pelicans, and down 13 to the Clippers they found a way to win.

The emergence of Zach Edey’s dominate play has fueled these comebacks and wins.

Jaylen Wells has continued to shoot better and look more like the Jaylen we saw last year. There are some things to fix on defense for sure, but they are getting good looks and staying with teams, even in scoring droughts.

KCP has also been shooting better, and even though Cedric Coward hasn’t shot well on the road, he has provided some big-time effort points in the past few games; to either help stop the bleeding or to get a much-needed bucket.

This is a big test for the Grizzlies; the Spurs are 13-6 and 5-0 in the division. It would be a good time to steal a win before Wemby gets back.

The Grizzlies will need to take care of the ball as they have averaged 18 total turnovers in the past 3 games.

Luckily, that has yet to break them, but that needs to be fixed.

Additionally, they need to continue to play bully ball and use their size to their advantage. This will be a tough match-up, and one that will be worth watching.

Tip-off is at 7 pm CST. You can watch live on the FanDuel Sports Network or listen live on 92.9 FM ESPN or on the Audacy website/app.

ALERT: There is a Grizzlies Watch Party tonight at Rotolo’s East that is presented by 92.9 FM ESPN, radio host Gabe Kuhn and his producer Connor Dunning will be there with some of the Claw Crew.
