Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid Grand Opening

April 29, 2015

On April 29, 2015, Bass Pro Shops officially opened its massive megastore inside Memphis’s iconic downtown Pyramid, transforming the long-vacant arena.

The opening brought not just a retail destination but also Big Cypress Lodge, restaurants, an observation deck, and an indoor swamp, giving new life to one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It instantly became a must-see for both locals and tourists.

Today, the Pyramid and its outdoor-themed attractions are a symbol of Memphis’s ability to reinvent and thrive while welcoming visitors from across the world.
