Shams Charania reported earlier today that the Grizzlies front office is looking into possible trades involving super star Ja Morant.
Well, I feel like an idiot.
I said in my previous post about doing things like trading Trae Young to the Wizards for not a great haul is what bad organizations do; we might be looking at a bad trade deal.
There is a small chance that things can be reconciled, minimal at best but there is. Look at Giannis, he requested a trade and they didn’t move him.
This is not good; I really hope they do not commit to this idea.
He is a superstar and ,in a league, where you need one, the Grizzlies were gifted him. Sure, he hasn’t been on the floor a lot, but I still know that he is good.
Whatever trade leverage they once had, is now gone with this news coming out.
He is listed as OUT for tonight’s game against the Thunder.
Other than that, there’s not much to say but look back and hope something gets fixed because things are messy.
Kleiman should be fired, Iisalo fired, and told by the owner that he will personally fix things for his star player. Pera won’t, but he should.
This sucks, this is bad, and I don’t like this one bit.

But now for the game, the Thunder come into this game on a bit of a skid, by their standards. 2-2 over their last 4, with losses to the Suns and Hornets, they won against Utah in their last outing on Wednesday.
They are the number one team in defense and point differential and are second in team offense. This team gets what they want and they do it efficiently.
The Grizz will try and salvage a home game stretch with a win tonight. It won’t be easy and with the recent news it seems that there will be some weird energy in that building.
Vince Williams Jr. is listed as QUESTIONABLE as well as Cedric Coward, John Konchar is DOUBTFUL.
Vince is coming back off an ankle sprain and did not play against the Suns; I would expect him to be on the floor tonight, he was moving well against San Antonio.
Man, right when it seems that things could turn around a little bit, with some guys getting healthy, they go and do this.
I’m conflicted to be honest, I don’t know whether to be mad or sad, nothing has happened, but it feels like it will now.
I wish I had more but I am just confused how we got here so quickly.
Grizzlies will need all the help they can get moving forward.
We may have seen the last game with 12, without even knowing it.
Tip-off is at 7:00 PM CST.
