Colin Rafferty –

Your Memphis Grizzlies play tonight in Los Angeles against the 6-19 Clippers.

The Clippers come into today’s game looking to snap a three-game losing streak, and the Grizzlies aim to get back on track after losing to the Jazz on Friday night.

Ja Morant returned and had a double-double, but it came up short and the Grizzlies couldn’t stop Keyonte George from hitting everything.

It was a tough loss because it seems that Morant and Zach Edey are playing injury swap until next year.

They had found a little bit of footing and hoped to add Ja to the mix, only to get word that he would be shut down for at least 4 weeks.

So back to the drawing board, and the first of a two-game road trip that includes Minnesota. The run of bad teams played has all but finished, the Grizz will need to find a couple of wins before the end of the year.

The past few games against the Clippers, the Grizzlies have had the big man to deal with Zubac, now they won’t. I would expect the bigs for the Clippers to have a pretty big night.

The Grizzlies will need to have a full team effort and not get distraught if the Clippers get out to a lead by the end of the first half.

They shoot well in the first, and not so well in the second. That has helped the Grizzlies before against the Clippers, so why not again.

Some good news did come through; Brandon Clarke is listed as DOUBTFUL for tonight’s game. This could be a great addition as the Grizzlies are littered with injury and need all the help they can get.

It is not like it is getting Edey back, but he does have a good report with Ja and Jaren so maybe he can bring a little life out of Triple J and get him going again.

It is unclear when he might be back on the court, but he has been working out with the team and with the Hustle so it could be sooner rather than later.

The Clippers are the 14th team in the West, the Grizzlies are 9th, go out there and prove it.

Ja will most likely put on a show, but we will need the rest of the crew to show out, including the bench They have been great as of late and have kept the Grizzlies in games that seemed lost.

They will need some more great play out of Cam Spencer, who I would only have to assume hits about 4 three-pointers, and need some good minutes out of KCP.

If the Grizzlies can get Cedric Cowards shot to start falling on the road, look out. He can be a big force for them, as they search to get themselves back to .500.

Tip-off is late tonight, 9:30 PM CST so make sure to stay up and watch the Grizz and Ja go for win number 12.
