Talk, talk, talk that’s what has dominated the media waves since the Ja Morant suspension and subsequent loss to the Pistons on Monday.
People have interest, some people don’t, some coaches said… blah blah blah. He’s not going anywhere and there are bigger stories to cover.
Check out Steve Ballmer and the Clippers. That’s way more important of a story to cover than this little back and forth between a coach and player.
Morant went to Instagram Tuesday to seemingly tell the Grizzlies and the fans, hand up this one is on me, I will take the blame. A post that had the song “Take the Blame” by Rod Wave accompanied by pictures of Morant with the Grizzlies.

Now for the game. The Rockets are coming into FedEx Forum with a 4-2 record fresh off a win against the Dallas Mavericks 110-102 on Monday.
The Kevin Durant led Rockets are an interesting team, built well with young talent and some vets to help along the way.
The Grizzlies will hope that Steven Adams is not in the lineup, as he will be getting boards and setting screens all night. We know this because that is what he has done his entire career.
He is considered a game time decision.
Alperen Sengun is continuing his great play from last year and even adding a little more. If the Grizzlies have any hope in this game, they will have to keep him out of the mix or stop him from finding a rhythm.
Amen Thompson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jabari Smith Jr. are the young guns that have given the Rockets front office the confidence to get a guy like Durant and see where things go.
The Rockets are top 5 in points per game, points allowed, rebounds, point differential, and blocks. In addition to being top 10 in field goal percentage. Currently 4th overall in the West.

This is a tall task for a Grizzlies team that is struggling to score the ball and have important pieces out.
But maybe the page has been turned and they can come out with intensity to keep the Rockets grounded.
Some good news though, if everything is tracking correctly, which it looks like it is; Zach Edey will be back and ready to go for the Grizzlies in the coming days. He has been back and forth with the Hustle getting prepared to be in game shape as soon as he hits the floor.
Things could be turning around soon, hopefully sooner rather than later.
I expect (again) to see some intensity this game, we might have not had it Monday when everyone thought it would be the case, but it’s a new day. Go out and get a win.
Tip off is at 7 pm CST, go out and send a message to the league and the Rockets… GRIZZ AIN’T LEAVING.
