Colin Rafferty –

I do not like the Warriors, I do not like their fans, I do not like Draymond, I do not like green eggs and ham.

After a hard fought 1st half things fell apart in the second. The final score 118-131, only being down 4 at the half. That quickly ballooned to a point where they could only try to make it close at the end.

Guys all over the court, inside and out were left wide open giving the Warriors a plethora of opportunities to get easy buckets.

If the Grizzlies intended to compete this year they should stop giving up 120 points or more a game. Giving up 120+ in 3 games, winning only one.

There were stretches were Memphis had them on the heels, even grabbing the lead for a moment. But the consistency was not there and what good play they had in the 1st half was all but dried up when they hit the floor for the 3rd.

Shots not falling, bad turnovers, and the Warriors getting what they want; like always. The Grizz have to make sure they get the win on Wednesday against the Suns.

Not to say its make or break, but you don’t want to have games snowball on you early with a young team. They showed resiliancy over the past weekend and will need to prove it again in a short time frame.

Ja Morant led with 23 pts and 9 assists, Jaren Jackson Jr. had 16 pts and 7 rebounds, and Jock Landale added 17 pts and 6 rebounds.

For the Warriors they had 4 guys with 20 or more points, Jonathan Kuminga had the most with 25.

Draymond Green did exactly what I thought he would. Be disruptive, get a flagrant foul, and bark at the refs until he gets his way. He ended his night with 6 fouls and 7 pts with around 7:40 left in the 4th.

It’s still early and the Grizz are 2-2. There’s been good and there’s been bad, it’s going to be a long season. Just keep praying to your higher powers that the help that is on the way can help solidify consistent play out of this young talented group.

There are 4 main rotation guys injured at the moment, take a deep breathe and remind yourself it is early and some of these guys getting big minutes will have them cut down once they get back.

Grizz are back in action Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns, tip off is at 9:00 PM CST.
