Colin Rafferty –
At the end of the preseason these two teams matched up for a game in Miami that ended 141-125.

This should not be the same, Herro will be playing, and the squad thrown out there should be different.
Big news dropped yesterday as the FBI carried out a number of arrests in relation to an illegal gambling operation that included the Miami Heat Guard, Terry Rozier. Scary stuff for Terry.
Rozier was under investigation earlier this year for oddities surrounding proposed gambling implications. This will happen again and again in every sport now that sports gambling has been legalized.
The cat is out of the bag, and you can’t put toothpaste back into a tube. We just have to hope and pray that it doesn’t come into our backyard.
Fun news for Tiger fans, Dain Dainja and Precious Achiuwa will return to the FedEx Forum tonight. A nice touch for those in attendance to give a round of applause if both or either one gets in.
Now for the game itself, Miami has been a solid team out of the East for the past few years. Last year wasn’t great, but they have some pieces and are looking to try and add more.
Any team with a head coach like Spoelstra should be competitive even if not that great. This will mark the first of back-to-back games, the next Indiana on Saturday.
The Heat come off a loss to Orlando, where former Grizzlies player Desmond Bane had 23 points to add to a 121-125 final.
It’s only one game, but Orlando has a young strong team and might be taking the spot from Miami as the team in Florida this year.
Grizz fresh off their home opener look to continue the play that they had in the second half. Scoring 41 in the 3rd and 31 in the 4th .
Hopefully they keep one of the two big men out of significant foul trouble the entire game, but who knows.
The beauty of this is that it looks like the Grizz have a solid bench group to choose from and are ready to play.
Some better shooting from beyond the arc and not allowing huge runs would be the first thing I would hope to see.
It’s a Friday night game in October, and there’s some newfound hope and energy after the late game heroics of Ja Morant. We call, he answers.
Game Note: Ja Morant and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are dealing with some ankle soreness and are listed as QUESTIONABLE.
This is the first game of a back-to-back and early in the season; I don’t think there is reason for concern. But it could be something to keep an eye on moving forward.
How many of these back-to-backs can Ja take? When or where will they decide to rest him?
The good news is that there is no traveling for this one, and nothing’s better than sleeping in your own bed. I would expect both of them to play tonight with the possibility of their minutes being maybe a little lower than Wednesday’s game.
Hopefully because they are up and cruising to a 2-0 start.
