Juicy J’s Birthday
April 5, 2025
On April 5, Memphis celebrates the birthday of Juicy J, cofounder of Three 6 Mafia and undisputed hip-hop pioneer. Juicy J helped define the Memphis rap sound, pushing it from local streets to global airwaves.
Through his work with Three 6 Mafia, Juicy J earned an Academy Award for Best Original Song—the first group to win for rap. His signature style and production cemented Memphis’s place in American pop culture and hip-hop.
Today, Juicy J remains an active influence on music in Memphis and beyond. His legacy continues to inspire new generations of artists coming out of the city.
